Grooming Terms & Conditions
By booking an appointment with Pawcious, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms and conditions.
⸻
1. Vaccinations
We strongly encourage all dogs entering our premises to be fully vaccinated (both core and non-core).
Pawcious operates in a free-roam environment, where dogs may come into contact with one another. As such, there is an inherent risk of exposure to airborne or contact-based viruses, which are unpredictable and beyond our control.
⸻
2. Appointment Punctuality
• Dogs may be dropped off no earlier than 30 minutes before the scheduled appointment time.
• Dogs must be picked up within 1 hour after grooming is completed.
Early drop-offs or late pick-ups will incur daycare charges.
⸻
3. Fleas & Ticks
We do not accept pets with fleas or ticks.
If fleas or ticks are discovered during grooming, the owner will be subject to a fee of $50++ and above, depending on severity, for treatment and inconvenience.
⸻
4. Shampoo & Products
• Owners may bring their own shampoo and/or conditioners.
• Pawcious will not be liable if the grooming outcome differs from our usual standards when owner-supplied products are used (e.g. coat not fluff-drying properly or appearing greasy after wash).
Pawcious will not be liable for any skin reactions or allergies that may arise from the use of our shampoos, spa treatments, or owner-provided products.
⸻
5. Grooming & Coat Condition
• Pawcious shall not be responsible or liable for clipper burns, minor nicks, or skin irritation resulting from:
• Matted or neglected coats
• Removal of coats from pets with existing skin conditions or allergies
• Pawcious will not be responsible for irritation caused by shaving coats to a length of 1cm or below.
• For grooming lengths of 1cm or below, a shaver must be used.
Full scissoring will not be performed at this length for safety reasons.
• For coats groomed to 1cm or less, uneven areas, holes, or patches may occur due to:
• Fur growth direction
• Coat type
These outcomes are not considered grooming defects.
⸻
6. Responsibility & Honesty
Pawcious reserves the right to refuse service to any pet that may pose a risk to our staff or other pets, including but not limited to:
• Aggression
• Health concerns
• Parasites
Owners are responsible for fully disclosing any known behavioural, medical, or health issues prior to grooming.
Pawcious will not be liable for any incidents arising from undisclosed conditions, including but not limited to injuries caused by aggressive behaviour toward grooming equipment or staff.
If a pet causes injury or harm to staff or other pets while under Pawcious’ care, the owner shall bear full responsibility for all related medical expenses.
⸻
7. Stress & Risk Acknowledgement
Pawcious shall not be held responsible for:
• Stress or risks associated with a free-roam environment (e.g. scuffles, social stress)
• Stress or adverse reactions resulting from grooming sessions, especially for:
• Sick pets
• Senior pets
• Puppies
• Cats or other small animals
⸻
8. Free-Roaming Policy
All dogs are allowed to roam freely when they are not being groomed.
Pets that pose a risk to others may be leashed or separated at our discretion.
Owners may request that their dog not interact with other dogs. However, such pets will be kept in a kennel without constant supervision, and Pawcious shall not be held responsible for stress arising from this arrangement.
⸻
9. After-Care & After-Service
• If you are unsatisfied with the grooming result, you may return within 7 days from the grooming date for a one-time re-cut.
• Owners are advised to wipe down their pets after returning home. While Pawcious maintains strict sanitisation, we cannot fully control bacteria or viruses due to:
– Free-roaming dogs
– High footfall of pets and clients
• Owners of shaved dogs (especially due to matting or skin issues) are strongly encouraged to:
– Monitor for redness or irritation
– Use cones or clothing to prevent scratching
– Protect pets from excessive heat or cold
• Any injury must be reported to Pawcious within 6 hours of grooming.
• If a veterinary visit is required, owners must provide a vet memo stating grooming-related injury or negligence for Pawcious to consider compensation.
⸻
10. Photography & Videography
By entering Pawcious’ premises and/or leaving your pet in our care, you grant Pawcious permission to take photographs and/or videos of your pet during its time with us.
Such photos and videos may be used for marketing, promotional, educational, and social media purposes, including but not limited to Pawcious’ website, Instagram, Facebook, and other digital platforms.
Owners who do not wish for their pet’s images or videos to be used must inform Pawcious in advance or explicitly opt out prior to the grooming or transport service.
By proceeding with a booking, you expressly acknowledge and accept all risks associated with grooming services and a free-roam environment. You agree to release Pawcious, its staff, and representatives from liability except in cases of proven negligence as supported by official veterinary documentation.

• Owners are strongly advised to allow their pets to potty before transport.
• In the event of excessive soiling, vomiting, or accidents during transport, cleaning fees will be incurred.
11.4 Collars, Harnesses & Leashes
• Owners are strongly recommended to use a properly fitted slip leash, or to ensure that their pet’s collar or harness is secure and correctly tightened.
• Pawcious shall not be held responsible if a pet escapes from its own collar or harness due to improper fit or equipment failure.
11.5 Transport Cancellations & No-Shows
• Any cancellation or change shows be informed at least 24 hours in advance.
• Failure to do so may result in transport fees being charged in full or in part.
• In the event of a no-show, defined as:
• The owner being uncontactable, or
• Failure to bring the pet to the pick-up point despite repeated calls/messages,
the transporter will wait a maximum of 7 minutes upon arrival before leaving.
• A one-way transport fee will be charged in such cases.

By opting in for transport services, the owner accepts all reasonable risks associated with pet transportation and agrees that Pawcious shall not be held liable for incidents arising from undisclosed behavioural issues, improper equipment, or non-compliance with transport instructions.
